Post-Exercise Soreness

Apr 29, 2022

A common deterrent for people wanting to exercise is the soreness that can accompany it.
You probably know that exercise builds muscle. What you may not know is that, in order to do so, it actually causes micro tears in muscle cells.
During rest, as you can see in the graphic, the muscle will then rebuild itself, resulting in thicker and stronger muscle cells capable of withstanding a stronger stimulus.
So, if you're feeling sore for a day or so after exercising, don't worry! Your body is just going through that process of muscle fiber growth and, essentially, you're feeling your body getting stronger!

You've probably tried before.  You've worked hard.  But if you're not seeing results, it's not your fault - It might just be the wrong plan for your body and stage in life.
